I was wondering if I had a chance of getting into West Chester University. I have an unweighted GPA of 3.7 and a weighted cumulative GPA of 3.85. Freshman and sophomore year I took all accelerated classes and one honors class. I got all As and Bs and an occasional C. As a junior, I am taking accelerated band, honors German, and academic in everything else. I Have all As and Bs. I am in Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Music Honor Society, German Honor Society, and Varsity Swimming for 3 years, and I plan to do everything for a fourth year except German Honor Society. I am also in Italian Club. I didn`t do that well on the SAT, but I plan to take the ACT and SAT again.I got a 520 on reading, 460 on math, and 450 in writing. I would like to major in nursing. I am also involved with the German exchange group. Will I get in?
There’s no real guarantee you will get in anywhere. A college can accept or reject anyone they like. You do have a decent GPA (Westchester’s average is 3.5) and your extracurriculars definitely make you look desirable. I would try to get a higher score on the SAT, however I’d say there’s a 75%-ish chance you could get in. I don’t want to make anything for-sure, since in reality you really never know.
What sciences have you taken and what grades have you gotten? Nursing at WC is very competitive. You need to apply very early as most slots are filled by November.
