So I have been chanced before, but I just received my new SAT scores and they were only 70 points higher. This time they came out to be a 1780. Breakdown is as follows:

CR: 640
Math: 580
WR: 560

I know they are low for the schools I am applying, but I am wondering is it even realistic to expect an acceptance letter from GWU, JHU, Northwestern, or Wake Forest?

I had to work during my summer to help supplement my family's income which led to me giving up my position as Captain for Cross Country. I included this on my application.

My intended major is International Studies. My essays are really good. The common app essay talks about how I lost 80 pounds, why I feel like a warrior, and why I want to be an FBI agent. The essays are the best part of my application and many of my teachers have told me I am the best writer they have ever encountered, which contradicts my SAT writing score. If you don't believe me, I will let you read them if you chance me saying you would like to read the essays.

My cross country coach/history and sociology teacher wrote me a great recommendation expressing my writing skills and ability to understand complex concepts. My French teacher who is now a lecturer at UPenn wrote me a pretty decent recommendation and how I would be a great fit for the International nations with my linguistic skills. My editor-in-chief is writing me a recommendation of how I outdid college students because my writing skills are that strong. My landscaping boss is also writing me a recommendation.

I am taking my subject tests January 25th in Biology, Math Level II, and French. I have been studying intensely for them because they have to be high enough to help make up for my horrible SAT's.

I am also a hispanic-Puerto Rican who is the first in my family to ever attend a college. Do I have a likely chance of getting admitted into GWU, Northwestern, Wake Forest, or JHU?
