What is your class rank or decile?

I think you will have a good shot at some of the lower ivies, but be sure to include some safety schools. Try emphasizing your disadvantages in life(and overcoming them) due to your parents leaving you. Otherwise you have some great ECs that you can write about!

Try emphasizing your disadvantages in life(and overcoming them) due to your parents leaving you.

I thought your parents divorced. Did they both “leave” you?

my school does not have rank or valedictorian because some parent few years ago complained that it depressed their child to see their rank. i would be depressed too, i’ve seen a one of top 5 student from other school move here and get below 3.5 gpa.

and my mom left the family when i was a month old, and got divorced 1 year later. i have not seen my mom since i was 1 month old. but my dad is still with me. and you guys suggested that i say how bad of a condition i was in. i don’t want to whine tho, i don’t think it looks good. it has a mention of my pretty tough life but i don’t talk about it.

well with your grades, scores, and challenges u had to overcome, id say you have a good as a shot as anyone to get in

chance me back pleasse http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1032413-chance-me-please-high-level-colleges-2300-sat.html

Ah, I forgot to write Spanish Honors Society, AP Scholar, and Spanish Club and I’m pretty sure I’m forgetting couple more.

My safety school is University of Michigan, I should get in there, right?

And I found out my high school is actually not actually 2nd in state realistically because few private schools does not have their average ACT (MME) results posted I’d say its the hardest public school hands down and one of the top compared to even private schools. I also talked to transfer students who came to our school and form them I heard my high school is very tough compared to other high schools (one guy I talked to had A in the other school’s honors English and when he moved to our school he got a C and got bumped down to a normal English). Also, the AP test average for all our AP classes (which anyone, including some of our dumbest, join) is NEVER below 4 for any of our classes in history of ever and usually averages between 4.2~4.5 which, I believe should be around top 10~15% of the AP scores I think? I don’t mean to blow a trumpet here but I am just updating the fact for a better judgement. I believe there are too many smart people here on the forums for me to brag about my academic achievements.

To clarify, my freshmen GPA was 3.7something, you can see the drastic rise.

For interviews, I do fine. I have a moderate ~ good image.

Also, I have ADHD and Tourettes, I kept that fact out of the apps I already summited. I, however, am very social, liked by teachers, friends, and employers alike. My ADHD is under control by my will to not get distracted and Tourettes, a very annoying disease, is somewhat under control and almost ruined me when I first got it around 11~12. Should I put that on? Will they reject me for it because they might think I may cause a disturbance? I use so much willpower and do so much mental wrestling to keep it under control and its sometimes so unbearable that I sign out of school for couple hours. Due to my efforts, it may annoy an easily annoyed person but most don’t care and think I am a weirdo and will not interfere in schoolwork. (My tick is not a word just some kind of loud sighing noise, so it won’t offend anyone). I kinda went rambling there, I’m kind of emotional about that topic because it almost ruined me. I personally think it is the biggest challenge I can face ever. I left it out because I was ashamed. Will it help me? Or should I keep it as my dirty little secret?

Lastly, not to sound ungrateful for all the great feedbacks, but if you could, please respond with more detailed answer than a “pretty good chance” or “maybe”.

Thank you!
