Chances of getting into Ivy's...

I’m a high school soph.
I scored a 1910 on my PSAT, without studying or any previous prep.
My GPA is 3.8 unweighted, 4.45 weighted.
I am female, white and from a middle class family.
I will be majoring in film and cinematic studies, with a minor in psychology.
I am in all advanced classes: Hon. Pre Cal, Hon Spanish 5, Hon English, Comparative Religions, AP NSL, Hon Chem, and Hon Introduction to Technology.
I have around 300 SSL Hours
I have a strong portfolio for which I have worked on with a professor at Ringling’s School of Art and Design (Sarasota, FL)
I have legacy at the University of Penn.
I have been a part of the Lazarus Leadership Fellows program, for which I was selected among many other applicants to work on a program that solves an issue in my community - I created an art program for youths that I still run.
I am a member of the Spanish Honors Society’s tutoring committee.
Some of my art pieces have been displaced in exhibits and art shows.
I am a prominent member of 2 school led clubs.
My resume has other points, but those are the main prominent items of my resume.
I also want to partake in an international habitat for humanity type of organization, however, one in which I help ecosystems and such.

a) With art as what I want to major in, what are my chances of getting into the Ivy’s? Is it benefited due to my interest in art/my art portfolio?
b) I have the option of either taking all IB classes junior and senior year, all AP classes, or a mixture of both. Which courses do Ivy’s prefer?
c) If I only take one more year of math (math studies) and stop there, will that hinder my chances?
d) Does my interest in art in anyway help me in getting into colleges such as Harvard where most students major in law, history and the sciences?
e) If I have a double period internship senior year, how does that affect my chances?
f) Is my art portfolio enough to set me apart from the crowd?
g) What are some ways to strengthen my application?

I just want to know why you’re ready to dish out 250k+ for a film degree.

a.) It’s a fair shot I guess. Any major with Ivy Leagues is competitive.
b.) If I were you I would go with the APs.
c.) I would take as many math classes as you can. At least up until AP Calculus.
d.) It may help you in the sense that most people at those schools apply for business majors, etc.
e.) Elaborate on this? What internship are you thinking?
f.) Your art portfolio will help (since you want to major in art), but you’re going to need stellar essays and E.Cs. Most everyone applying to Ivy League schools is within the same SAT, ACT, GPA range.
g.) Take the highest level classes possibly. Maybe some SAT Subject tests? Get involved with a lot of E.Cs including volunteer work.

Don’t stress too much, you have time since you’re a sophomore. Best of luck

I was thinking of doing an internship with a news station (I live in the DC area) or one with a local theater where I would have a more prominent role helping the crew creatively

They both sound good, so are you saying that it would take up two periods out of your senior year? If so how many periods do you have a day.

It’s impossible to chance you without knowing your actual SAT/ACT score. You’ll need a 2100 at the very least, ideally more

We have seven periods and lunch. A two-period internship is recommended, although there are options for a single period internship. If I took a single period internship then I would have room in my schedule to take BC Calc…
