Chances of getting into NYU Stern

For all those who've been through college applications and congratulations to all those who made it to NYU Stern. I need your help chancing me for stern.

I'm an international student, a Korean, studying in an American ineternational school in Singapore. My school is very small-size, but not a bad school. Last year's graduating class had a UCLA, a Northwestern, and a Texas A&M for top students out of 18 seniors.

Academics:

GPA - Unweighted: 3.40
GPA - Weighted: 3.73
Class Rank: top 25%
Class Size: 100

Scores:

SAT I Math: 800
SAT I Critical Reading: 620
SAT I Writing: 720

SAT II Math Level 2 (IIC): 800
Planning to take Physics and a language, probably Japanese.

Extracurriculars:

Significant Extracurriculars: Rugby 2years as a flanker
American Football in Singapore for a season as nose guard
F1 in School (on-going, preliminary on 13th July)
Leadership positions: Planning to make a club during following semester, maybe archery.

Athletic Status - list sport and your level: Rugby for 2 years was in varsity and regularly appeared. 2, 6th position medals.
American football non varsity

Volunteer/Service Work: Annual trip to developing countries:
-10th grade: to Manila, Philippines serving at an orphanage for a week
-11th grade: to Shalom, India serving at non-profit organization for a week.

Honors and Awards: - 2 6th position medals for rugby
- AP Calculus (result not out yet), Honors American Literature 11

You’re GPA is a little low. What really stands out is the fact that you served in the orphangage and you played rugby and archery( isnt common in america). I think you have a high chance, the only thing that might be an issue is NYU is kind of an artsy school…

I’d say you have a 20-30% chance. You have lots of positives, but your school does not appear to send very many students to the best universities in the states and you are not at the very top of your class. You should definitely apply.
