I'm a white middle class male from Los Angeles, and I attend a college prep high school in the area. I want to study business, I screwed up freshman year, my GPA was average, but i'm going to explain it in my essay and I turned it around sophomore year:
Freshman Year: 3.3 and 3.4 GPA, respectively
Sophomore Year: 3.9 and 3.7 GPA respectively
Junior Year: 4.0 and 4.14 GPA respectively

AP and honors classes taken:
Junior Year-AP US History, AP Biology, AP Macro-economics, Honors Latin II
Senior Year-AP Government and Politics, AP Environmental Science

Along with these AP exams i've also taken the ones for AP Stat and AP Psych. I got a 3 on the AP Bio exam, a 4 on the AP Stat and Psych, and a 5 on the APUSH and AP macro exam, and i'm almost positive i'll get at least a 4 on both my senior year exams.

I got a 1950 the first time I took the SAT and a 2020 the second time.

EC:
Junior Class President, ASB President Senior Year
I run an imprinting business that is doing >$100,000 a year in revenue
I am the co-founder of a charity that works with inner city youth in Los Angeles, encouraging them to pursue their dreams despite their circumstances.

My essay is going to be about growing up with two older brothers addicted to heroin and meth, respectively, one of whom being a large meth distributor in the area. After years of constant jail and prison visits, trips to court and rehab to support them, and just stress in general, I finally made the decision to not let their problems affect me anymore. I may tell the story of being woken up by my brother banging on my door at 2:30 in the morning the night before two of my final exams because he had been arguing with my mom and he "wanted to tell his little brother that his mom is nothing more than a cheap wh*re."

I know that my grades are less than stellar for an Ivy League or equivalent, but I hope that my EC's and my story will help me.
