Chances of getting into UC Berkeley.

Hello,
I am physics/math major from a community college in CA with a 3.78 GPA , which includes all of the IGETC classes completed and most of the classes required for my major and I am looking to apply for transfer for fall 2011 and by spring 2011 I will have 90 units completed. My extracurriculars include learning arabic, farsi, and turkish (and tutoring in them) and countless hours of tutoring other students in math. I am in the "TAP" program, MESA, and honors society at my community college and if all goes well, I will have a 3.83 by the end of the fall semester.

What are my chances? I've heard that the Physics department accepts more transfer students than other departments. I am also looking at UCLA.

cc to uc transfer is usually base on GPA and completeness of major pre-req, sometimes IGETC play an important role as well but not sure aobut physics/math major. Based on ur GPA and ur extracurriculum activities, you are a very high chance to UC Berkeley. As long as you maintain ur high GPA and have ur major pre done, you will get in. A frd of mine got into LA and Cal with a much lower GPA than u in a similar major(physic major). So, good luck and do well on rest of ur class.
