Hi, I'm currently a high school junior down in Miami and I'll be applying to colleges this summer.

I wanted to get some opinions on my current chances of getting into some colleges (primarily UF, as far as I know the admission process for most other public Florida schools is not early as rigorous and difficult) and also some things I could improve throughout this summer and my senior year to improve my chances.

Here are some of my current stats:
Unweighted GPA: 3.41
Weighted GPA: 4.06
SAT: 1920

APs/ DE:

Softmore: AP Human Geo(4)
Junior: AP Chem, AP Lang, AP US history (I'm confident I could pass all of these)
Senior: AP Physics I, AP Calc AB, AP Government, Dual enrollment English 1, AP Psychology

Excluding my freshman year all of my non-AP core classes have been honors.

ECs:

Clubs: Currently in Mu Alpha Theta (Math club), Pass it on (Community service), Biomedical Club.
I plan on staying in all of these clubs next year and certainly joining more.

Sports: Did one year of Track & Field (Softmore) but stopped after that year.

I know that my weakest point are my extra curriculars but me and a friend do have plans on founding and being co-presidents of a much requested College Club that will give students the opportunity to go visit and tour various colleges in the Miami area, we already have a sponsor & most club positions are filled, we are just waiting till next year to make it official.

I've always been told by teachers that writing is a strong point for me so I should have no issues with my essay.

Taking a look at my grades shows a very obvious upward trend in both rigor and success since my freshman year, this is in part due to my little sister getting diagnosed with Leukemia around that time ( school was, in my mind, the least of my concerns at the time ).

Also I'm a Hispanic (Born in Cuba but came as a child) and my I will be the first to go to college in the US.

Thats all I could think of off the top of my head, thanks for reading :)
