I’m applying as a transfer student from Brigham Young University -Hawaii and was wondering what my chances were of getting in??
- I will have completed two semesters of college by Fall 20118
- I graduated high school a semester early with a UW GPA of 3.3, W GPA around 4.2. I was originally class of '18, so all college I'm completing before Fall 2018 is because I graduated early
- College GPA currently is around 3.4- will hopefully be closer to 3.6 by the end of June
- I took the ACT four times; I got a 32, 32, 32, and 33. Superscore is a 34 or 35
- In high school, I participated in marching band, concert band, cross country, Junior Classical League (latin club), and Science Olympiad
- In college, I am a member of the Social Work Student Association, Healthcare Professionals Club, and Waves of Change (local beach cleanup)
- My senior year of high school I worked at a fast food restaurant for between 20-30 hours a week
- I took 4 AP Exams, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, AP Lang, and AP Calculus; scores were 5, 5, 4, 3, respectively
- I tutored refugees in English
- I served in multiple leadership positions in my church over the course of four years
- I am a very strong writer, so I am confident that my essay is excellent
Some friends are convinced I have a very good chances, due to my essays and ACT scores, but I’m worried about my GPA’s. Do I have a fairly good chance of getting in?
Thanks to anyone who helps and answers
