I am a rising senior living in Virginia. I am wonder what my chances are of getting into schools like William and Mary or UVa?
unweighted gpa: 3.97
weighted gpa: 4.69
act: 32 (taking it again soon and hopefully my score will improve a couple of points)
classes: I have taken all honors classes, with the exception of electives, and ap world, apush, ap chem, and ap econ. Next year I plan on taking ap lit, ap gov, ap calc, ap bio, and ap physics. In addition, I have taken four years of latin. However, I was homeschooled in ninth grade and only recieved pass/fail grades for those classes. How much of an impact will this have on my applications?
extracurriculars:
My main extracurricular activity is dancing. I fance about 12 hours a week. I am also a teacher’s assistant for elementary school dancers about twice a week. I have performed as the lead in mutliple productions. Lastly, I have done multiple summer intensives for dance throughout high school. I am actively invovled with YoungLife at my high school. I also volunteer in my church’s sunday school twice a month. I am memeber of latin club, french club, key club, national math honors society, and national science honors society.
I am wondering what my chances are for getting into rather competitive Virginia schools. I would also love some suggestions for better extracurriculars, because I think that they are not the strongest. Thank you for your help!!!
