Chances of ILR early decision-Thanks for your time.

I'm a Sophomore at a prep school in Washington, DC;I have a 3.761 cumulative GPA at the moment. I scored a 175 on the PSAT- I feel as if I'll be able to bring this up no problem. I messed up my freshman year, but I hope to bring my cumulative GPA to a 3.9 by the end of my junior year. I'm taking one AP this year and 4 honors, next year i'll be taking 2 APs and 2 honors. I'm an editor for the schools newspaper, and the teacher that that runs the paper said it looks as if I'll be editor-in-chief after Junior year. I've been rowing since 8th grade, and my highschool coach said that it looks like i could row in college; my squash coach has also told me it looks promising that i'll be captain after junior year. I'm also waiting to hear back whether I will be a senate page this summer, if i'm not accepted, I'll be interning at Booz Allen Hamilton or the AFL-CIO. At the risk of sounding like a jerk, I also expect to be to be school president, for I was president of both my elementary and middle school. Assuming the stars align and everything pans out-Squash Captain, 3.9 cumulative GPA, Editor-in-Chief, and picking up my test scores. What are my chances of being accepted early decision to the ILR school at Cornell? (Is there an 'easier' school to get into? I'm interested in the courses at ILR though.)
Thanks for your time.

GPA’s low. Why not GWU in your hometown? It seems like you would be a good fit there.

I had my heart set on Cornell, my uncle’s a professor there; so no chance as my GPA is too low?

Your GPA is fine. Why not try to contact the rowing coach at Cornell?

And make sure your test scores are good enough.

When you say cumulative, do you mean weighted or unweighted? Because if unweighted, then I’d say you’re good, especially since you have a connection. But don’t take my word for it, talk to your uncle and, yeah, the rowing coach. Seems like you have a good network around you, take advantage of it.

With a professorial connection, I would think you would have a good shot ED. RD is always a crapshoot.

Get in touch with the rowing and squash coaches.
