Chances of me getting into Columbia University?

Applying Early Decision to their Engineering School .

SAT: 650 - Math
620 - Reading
520 - Writing
(Yes, my scores were not up there.. but I don't have another chance to take it before the ED deadline)

Taking the Subject Tests in Math Level 2 & Physics in October.

Cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.7

5 AP's (BC Calculus, Physics, US History, Computer Science, Statistics)
6 Honors (Algebra 2, Functions, Advanced Topics, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish III)

Played the viola for 8 years

Played lacrosse 2 years, 1 year tennis, 1 year soccer, 1 year Track & Field, 1 year field hockey managing (all sports I played on my school team)

Editor of my school's Yearbook

60 hrs of Community Service - Active member of NIH Club for 3 years at my school (we do commity service at the National Institute of Health)

My father recieved his Masters in Business from Columbia

I am also an Iranian female applying ED for Engineering so I'm hoping this will increase my chances (& the legacy).

What do you think are my chances ?

Extreme reach, by not retaking your SATs you’re making yourself a less stronger candidate, and that’s what’s really bringing your application down. I would apply regular decision if you could up your scored.
Obviously if there’s an advantage in applying ED and Columbia is your 1st choice go for it, but prepared to have your applications filled out for RD at other schools.

I don’t have the chance to re-take it by the ED deadline, but for their engineering school - 30% of applicants who apply early get accepted while regular decision is around 8%… big difference . That’s why… since Columbia is my #1 choice, I want to apply early.

You might as well apply, but I think you should retake the SAT first.

Sorry, but you also don’t qualify for legacy status at Columbia. They consider legacies as children of those who attended Columbia for undergrad, not grad.
