Chances of the endeavor?

I’m currently an undergrad (finishing sophomore year, though technically classified as
junior) in the University of Puerto Rico (PR is a US Territory, just mentioning it ahead of time since I’ve had some people think I’d be in foreign admissions), and I’m trying to see if I can get into the T14. Here’s my things which can be pros or cons.

My current GPA is 3.79. It might go underneath that a point or two, or it might go up a point or two, but the oscillations have been that in freshman year I had 3.80, afterwards 3.83 after summer, and now 3.79. There’s a single W in that transcript which was a math requisite class I practically got run over in, but intend to repeat and pass.

Psychology major.

I’m an honor student working on her honors thesis, honor status and thesis title is mentioned as part of your transcript.

Hispanic, Puerto Rican (I notice the URM thing is present around a bit).

I haven’t taken LSAT yet. I’ve been thinking of taking it this very September, though my detail is that I’ll be doing this next semester, if I get accepted a full internship in DC, so it would probably mean taking it over in the DC area and not down here. I’m not sure what approach to do with the LSAT, I mean, I feel confident: when I did the SAT I just walked in, took it, walked out, and scored borderline perfect. No prep, no previous work, none of that. So I feel tempted to almost do the same with LSAT. Take out one of the test locations in the DC area, walk in that saturday and take it. Not sure how wise that is though.

I do have my fair share of extracurricular crap, mainly political: during my freshman year I was the campaign manager for a major state senate race, and afterwards became a regional coordinator for the Obama campaign in the PR primary, and afterwards did extensive work for the presidential campaign attending the Convention in Denver as part of the staff and in the Florida campaign, afterwards working in the Inaugural Committee.

I’m applying for the C

Then it’s hard to predict anything…

However, it does seem that Puerto Ricans get a huge boost in law school admissions; I think their average LSAT score is below 140.

well, on the fact that I haven’t taken the LSAT is partly why I’m also asking on how to approach it, because in my experience with standardized tests its a cakewalk, but then again, I do not know just how far out is the LSAT from the nightmare all wanna be college students are given at 11th grade, so I really don’t want to walk in smiling and be spit out and run over.

I took the SAT with no prep, and prepped for about three months for the LSAT. I wouldn’t recommend taking the LSAT without prepping.

I think it would be entirely appropriate to discuss in your personal statement how your own experiences as a transgendered woman led you to an interest in LGBT constitutional legal issues.
