Chances of transferring to Boston College, Northeastern University, or Boston University

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what would be chances of transferring with 60 credits to the universities mentioned. I attend a community college in florida and have an overall GPA of 3.3. I’ve read regarding transfers that the average is usually 3.5 and these universities are generally selective. I don’t have any extra circulars but will work on that from now onwards.

Background

-Field of study: Business Administration/International Business

  • College GPA 3.3
    -HS GPA: 2.7
    -SAT: Not submitting

This would be my preference in order (possible reach)
-Northeastern (Dream)
-Boston College
-Boston University

Honorable mentions
-UM
-FIU
-George Washington University

Reach 2

  • Fordham University

I mean it wouldn’t hurt to apply but BC is a way reach. Northeastern and BU are more reasonable options, but I know BC and BU require your SAT score so you’re dreaming if you think you can not send that in. Honestly your GPA is a little bit low for college. I would say that if you want to be in Boston look at Suffolk as a school you can certainly get into in case the others dont work out.

The transfer GPA for NEU is an average of 3.3, I’d say you’ll get in there no problem. BU is more selective at a 3.5 for transfer students, but even if you are accepted, don’t expect them to give you a lot of money. As a transfer, most schools cannot look at your SAT scores, as they are not relevant or required for all transfers (so it would be unfair). I was at BU yesterday and the admissions counselor told me they do not accept SATs, and disregard them if somebody accidentally submits. Definitely apply to Northeastern, but make sure your credits will transfer. BU accepted more credits than NEU did.

@LCatherineG @CID11111 What about BC? Do the require sat or act? I think he has a good chance of transferring to BC.
