I'm a california resident with a 4.45 academic Gpa and 2250 for my sat. I have gotten 790 physics SAT II, 800 Math II and 740 US history. I'm an AP scholar with distinction and enjoy playing shamisen (traditional japanese instrument). I am also a second degree black belt and have been doing martial arts for 10 years. what do you think are my chances of getting into caltech?

Or are you sharing 1 account with your friend who wants to go to a different school? Idk, but my ■■■■■ radar is beeping : )

Sharing an account!

Playing instrument and having black belt is not going to help you very much.

You need to have some serious achievements in math or science and/or high GPA and insanely high SAT (ACT) and SAT II scores.

I’d like to point out that the extracurriculars my friend specified are not all I do. I’m on the math team and academic team, and I have a 34 on the ACT. Not much better, but it’s something.

Your SAT is low for Cal Tech so I’d say it’s a reach, but not impossible.

Chance me back?

your physics sat is well below the average and ec’s wont help as much as they will at other school. still i would say you have an average chance
