Chances Out of State?????

Asian male. Don't know if that really helps....

I'm not exactly sure how Michigan calculate's GPA, because our school has honors points and stuff for honors and AP classes. but..

From 9-11- 3.9 weighted 3.8 unweighted
From 10-11- 3.8 weighted 3.6 unweighted

I didnt add .5 to any honors... just to my APs

I think its a tough course load, but i'm not really the judge. All honors and APs with the exception of 1 that didn't have honors.

Rank 85/615 - Its a really competitive school- i have a 95 numerical average...

I've taken/taking 7 APs
-AP World-3
-Ap Chem-4
-Ap bio-5
-AP calc AB
-AP microecon
-AP macroecon
-AP Physics B

All my other courses are honors with the exception of two which they didn't have honors.

SAT I- 2050/2400 1410/1600 math-780 reading-630 writing-640
SATII- Chem-680 Bio-720

EC's

I dunno if my numbers will hold me back or if my ec's are strong enough... also i'm out of state... Please be honest....

I think you are a slight reach because of your declining GPA in 11th and 12th grade. Also keep in mind that Michigan doesn't look at freshman year. Your SATs are pretty good and the EC's are great, so I think you have a decent shot. Also, being asian doesn't change anything. Good luck!

dido UMrunner-SATs are great, but UM loves high GPAs, and yours is below avg (avg. UNWEIGHTED is around a 3.8-3.9). but good luck!

hey, it sounds like you go to my school in Georgia.....where do u go?
I go to Northview....

bump por favor.

You're so in.

Slight Reach.

UM Avg GPA is 3.8 UW, and they weigh GPA heavily, and while your right around the mean for SAT/ACT scores, your GPA hurts you for getting in, not to mention your OOS. I had similar scores (3.6 UW, 32 ACT), and I was in-state and alumni, and even then I got deferred before I was accepted

zkevin: did you take hard classes in hs?

bump... anyone else have anything to contribute?
