<p>Drop Georgetown your 8 VR is a no go there, I assure you. They have too many applicants, offer too many “connected” admissions and the remaining spots thus become highly competitive.</p>
<p>I think the list is still top heavy; your GPA and ECs are great but the 8 VR is going to hurt you in the reach schools. A 32 based on a 10-10-12 would have opened more doors but the 8 may be an auto reject at some schools.</p>
<p>Texas schools by law have to be 90% instate; that said, I think you’d still be a very strong candidate at Texas Tech, UTMB and UTSA with an outside chance at UT-H and the true cost even for OOS is excellent. Several of my son’s close friends are OOS and they are paying only a little more than he is as an instate student.</p>
<p>Your GPA, ECs and overall MCAT will still make you a decent candidate for many of the state schools ranked outside the top 30…you should not eliminate them from your process.</p>
