Chances please(new CC member!)

hey guys, this is my first time on cc, I don't know if people will read this post elsewhere so I'm posting it here, I'd appreciate it if you guys could help me out:

I'm trying to decide which college to apply for EA/ED, based on my credentials and the standards of the school, which is between Yale, Columbia, or UPenn:

Scores:
SAT-math-750, writing-800, reading 700
GPA: 3.9 unweighted
7 AP classes taken in junior-senior years

EC's:
art awards-scholastic art and writing gold and silver keys
-art museum presidential award
-juror's award
-private exhibition in NYC
-International Competition Finalist (still waiting for winner results)
Community service -300-400 hrs (summer school TA, Haiti construction work, Home reconstruction, babysitting)
Violin-District Orchestra, perform at fundraisers, retirement homes, country clubs, solo concerts
B-boy-lead the dance club for 3 years at school
fundraiser-over $2000 for humanitarian organization

I'm applying as an art major

I'd appreciate your help!!

Yale should be your top pick. Columbia’s art program is so-so, Yale’s is renowned. Columbia’s art resources–classes, studio space, facilities–are really lacking, so if you know you want to major in visual arts I don’t know if I’d suggest it.

Is there any different type of screening process for artists to these schools? Or is everyone judged the same way? Then is there a purpose to the art supplement in the first place?

Art is part of Columbia College, and I do not believe there is any separate process. Sending an art supplement is probably good though because it demonstrates interest and shows that you are passionate about what you think you want to study.

There is no separate process, at least at Columbia. I don’t know how strong your portfolio is, but I would only submit an art supplement if you feel it is exceptional.
