Chances, please?

I know everyone is so busy during application season, but I would be honored if a few people would be willing to chance me for my top schools. I really just want to know what to expect, because my application has some obvious shortcomings. I don't quite know how drastically these will affect my chances... so I came here. Thank you in advance :)

Schools:
Yale SCEA
Princeton
Brown
Dartmouth
Middlebury

Penn State Schreyer Honors College

Academics

*ACT: 36
*SAT II: Math II: 790, Lit: 740
* All honors courses and mostly A's throughout high school (I received 2 89's in 9th grade and 1 89 in 10th grade, which I'm really worried about); definitely most rigorous courseload available. Currently have straight A's (respectively: 90, 94, 92, 99, 96, 100) in my senior year classes: AP Bio, AP US Gov, AP Spanish, AP Physics C, AP English Lit, Advanced Topics in Calculus.
*AP scores from junior year: Calc BC (and AB subscore) - 5, English Language - 5, Psychology - 5
* 94.0 unweighted GPA, 98.3 weighted
* Top 10% (my school only ranks by decile)

ECs

4 yrs Cross Country (1 freshman, 1 JV, 2 Varsity)

2 yrs Quiz Bowl

1 yr Political Club

Other

*White, middle-class (approx. $80k/year), male
* My recs are really good, I believe. One came from my World History teacher who presented one of my projects at a national geography teachers conference, while the other was my calc teacher who I have again for Adv. Topics in Calc. My guidance counselor knows and likes me.
* Essays should be good, but not amazing. Writing about the charity event for one and my mother's battle with cancer and death, and how that has affected me.

Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read this for me. I'm curious as to how my 3 89's will affect me? My grades definitely show an upward trend, but is that enough to compensate for 3 B's?

Nobody? Nobody at all? :X

Bumping one last time in case anyone sees it and decides to chance me.

Would really appreciate it :)

The whole HYP thing is really difficult, but your 36 ACT is indeed impressive. I think overall the YP is a medium reach just because almost all the kids applying have the same (or higher) GPA than you and similar test scores. Your ECs/honors seem great so far, but yes, your 89s might look bad to them. I see your grading scale has a 90% A as well…so you have to remember some of the Ivys will see that your 89 B+ would be a solid B at another school. Don’t freak out about that, however, because it WAS freshman/sophomore year and a little imperfection is a WONDERFUL thing. Plus, there’s nothing you can do about it now.

your SAT IIs look great as well as your APs. I’m sure it is already, but make sure your essay is fantastic. Have a Lit teacher look over it.

Good luck!

Thank you for the input. Do you know if Ivies have their own system for A/B/Cs etc, or do they typically use the high school’s scale?

Anyone else care to chance me, please? :)

Bump. Any other thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hoping someone can answer my question about Ivy-League GPAs, too.

Thanks in advance :)
