Sounds good. Apply.

WESTSIDE!!!!CAN I GET A WOLFPACK! PLANO IS LAMO!!! Sorry still ****ed off after we lost to y'all in football, but i'm sorta glad plano made all the way to the state semis. Anyways, knowing that your from the BEST school district in texas(but only from the 2nd best school haha), and plus with ur stats and rank, as well as ur ECs, I'd say you're in fo sho. good luck next semester and have a great break.

Yeah you're in. Come to Rice!

haha westside? nah man its all plano baby!!!! we had a great season, sad to lose in semis but still good, rex burkhead is superman!

hey remember that time trinity won the semifinals =)
haha...sorry i had to. i'll always be a trojan.
your stats look pretty good, SATs are solid.
the only thing that might set you back is class rank, but that's understandable from your rigorous courses, and I'm sure your grades are good! apply, and have a super winter break!

yea but jackson jeffcoat, our sophomore defensive end made the second team all state. in 2 years he will be the top recruit outta texas. but yeah rex is superman. meger effed it up from what i heard. maybe if brence had actually given the ball to rex who has been on plano varsity since he was like in 6th grade instead of letting that idiot meger throw the ball right to trinity's D. see ya at rice hopefully if i get in haha.

You see, when Rex gets the ball, a crazy spirit of a 3000-year-old pharaoh takes complete control of his body =)
I don't know, my personality tells me I wouldn't be a happy person if I were in the football team- I'd be so completely jealous of the attention he gets! Anyway, apply and see you at Rice if it's your first choice.

is that you yang su?

i've heard CRAZY stories about plano high schools about how top 10 spots are so damn competitive that a few times, the saludatorian has sued the valedictorian on some technicality to get the 1st spot

I am pretty sure you're in.

yea stellarRice that happened to my school plano west senior high (west is best haha) a couple of years ago, because the salutatorian wanted the top spot and didnt get it b/c of the fact that GPA was brought out like 10 spots until they figured out who was the valedictorian. the salutatorian was gonna sue, saying that the administrators calculated the gpa out too many places are somethin. the details are hazy but she ended up being co-valedictorian i think. but thats the only time i think its happened. seemed like a load of crap to me, but everyone around is so uber competetive that my friend at MIT said it was only a little harder than plano schools.

that girl sued cuz she played a sport which is regulars credit and brought down her ultra high gpa... i wish i didnt go to a school in plano lol

Sounds like some of these guys need to get a life and stop suing people over ranks. The difference between #1 and #5 won't make or break your chances of getting into a uni, especially if your high school is competitive. Seriously, people that are over-competitive in high school need to chill the f--- out. I bet a lot of them will be going pre-med, and there's plenty of time to be crazy competitive then.

yea this year actually i heard someone sued our valedictorian because she was staying in an aparatment while they were in a process of getting a house because the appartment wasnt considered a part of the plano senior high school district, but she moved into a house that was so its all good now.

Whoever sued deserves to be slapped. Really hard.

bump............................

hey what cancer research did you do at UT Southwestern? im a high school junior and wanted to do some research this summer and i live in McKinney so give me some details about how i could do some research at UT Southwestern.
Thanks! :)

^^^wow these stories... I'm kinda glad my school holds prom king and queen in higher esteem than valedictorian lol

to the OP, fantastic EC's. there's no reason why you wouldn't get in. you're probably in the running for some good merit $ too.

Whoa hey I'm an intern for cancer research at UTSW too! What department are you in?
And kunnel, if you have parents working there they should be able to easily take care of that stuff.. which is basically how I got in, but if you don't then I have no idea -_-
