Well, I had worse sat scores and I got in to Comp. Sci at UT. I was in the top 5% of my class, I guess that helped my case. Which major are you applying for?

And CricketStud, are you from the subcontinent?

im pretty sure you will get in. what major are u applying for? i got in last year OOS with similar stats but a higher SAT score. you shouldn't have any problems though. maybe you should consider taking the SAT again if you feel that you might do better?

dude, i am just a fan of cricket, but im from Colorado, so yea im OOS. As far as prestige goes for school, im not sure i mean we are a "school of Excellence", and i am in the IB Program, but i dont know if we are ranked or anything. My first choice major is Chem Engineering. and my second choice was Biochemistry MS

Your admission totally depends on what school you're trying to get into. For example, McCombs normally fills the first 75% with in-state top 10% percent applicants (usually only makes it to top 3%), and then the remaining 25% is for the other in-state and out-of-state applicants. So rank is a HUGE factor. To be honest, your ECs, essays, and test scores will be what gets you in. But that's for McCombs and usually the Engineering School as well. Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences are MUCH easier to get into. But yeah, I'm pretty sure you'll get into UT itself, but maybe not your first choice school if it's one of the highly selective ones.

obviously higher scores will give you a better chance. however, those are not significant increases, but they are still fairly high scores. i think you have a pretty good chance. good luck.
