I know I have reach schools but do I have a slight shot? I'll chance back!! Re-taking ACT in November got a 22 on the first try.. I know.. FAIL

^^if BU is your dream school, I highly recommend applying ED directly into School of general studies for your first two years…much better chance of acceptance, considering you SAT score

Wait I don’t get it, why is there a higher acceptance rate if I do that? And would I jot be able to go straight into my business courses right away since I want to do business? Also, would I still get the same education as if I were to apply straight to the school of management? Explain please

hmm well i have my scores coming back for the october ones on the 20th, doubt it will be that high but hoping it’ll go up. I’m doing SAT subject tests as well in november and ACTs on the 22nd

Ooh, your a hard choice! Because, I feel like you have the drive to get into the school and be able to succeed - but your stats are a little low for BU. I think that your SAT score is your biggest hitch. Does BU accept November scores? If they do, take em’. Aim for 2,000+. Then you stand a very good chance of admission. However, applying ED will send a very strong message to the admissions officers, and it should help your chances a lot. I’d say where you stand now is a low reach, but if you get that score up you’d be more of target candidate. For the remainder of your schools, I would place you as a match for the majority of them - I know students who got into those schools with similar stats to yours. I just keep emphasizing this - make sure that you show why your ECs are important to you. play on your strengths, and places will want you! Best of luck, hope everything works out for the best!

-BU (ED) -I see its your dream, go for it, find any way to improve your profile, perhaps an interview? Make them look past your negative stats. Its really up to you

Staryulover- I thank you so much for this advice! I am taking the November SAT subject tests because I need at least 2 in order to make my application complete and I took the SAT 1’s in October hoping to increase my scores to an 1850-1900 doubt a 2000+ though.

Phxsikh- I’m honestly shocked haha when I figured out that I would apply to Northeastern (2nd favorite school), I thought it would be a reach, but everyone is telling me that I’m pretty much in.

Thanks for the thoughts both of you!!! Any others willing to chance?
