Will probably apply to
(1) Rice-- legacy
(2) Johns Hopkins
(3) Northwestern
(4) CMU- solid match
(5) U Penn -- legacy
(6) Yale- very far reach, might as well try
(7) PSU- safety

See if you can get recruited; it sounds like you are way up there in your sports.

But if not...

Rice: slight reach
Johns Hopkins: slight reach
Northwestern: match
CMU: safe match
UPenn: slight reach (match ED -- almost 50% acceptance rate ED for legacy)
Yale: reach
PSU - safety

This looks like a fairly balanced list of schools...good job!

While I am going to be badly hounded for calling elite schools matches, I think we have forgotten what reaches/matches/safeties truly are (if you wish to argue w/ my percentages, that is fine, but do not argue w/ the label)

As to this I will clarify:
Reach x < 20%
Slight Reach 20% < x < 35%
Match 35% < x < 60%
Safe Match 60% < x < 85%
Safety x > 85%

But don't assume on test scores though...I think that's a big mistake (I blew my SAT...expected 2180-2280 b/c of practice tests & scored 2070) I am hoping I just screwed up & will score better next time, but I think it is bold to assume high scores.

(1) Rice-- legacy - Match (legacy)
(2) Johns Hopkins - Match
(3) Northwestern - Slight Reach
(4) CMU- Low Match
(5) U Penn -- legacy - Slight Reach
(6) Yale- very far reach
(7) PSU- Super Safety

I like your list but I think you could add a couple more reasonable reach schools like Penn and NU. My advice is to at least apply to one of Duke, Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, etc just in case Penn doesnt come through. I would personally choose these over JHU/ Rice.
