Some of my friends get good grades but they have no honors or AP classes even though the school offers them. But i take honors and AP classes and have about the same uniweghted GPA as them. How will colleges looks at this?

bump.......

The colleges know what AP classes your school offers. If your friends didn't take them it will look very bad on their college applications.

Colleges will definitely prefer you over your non-AP friend, especially if your grades are similar--you obviously challenged yourself more.

i think he means......if his grades are similar, his grades are correspondingy lower

he? I don't think so.

Slightly Lower grades w/more challenging courses> Slightly Higher Grades w/less challenging courses....

College admissions officers, I trust, aren't so narrow to only look at numbers, otherwise the college process would be a cinch! No "What Are My Chances" board on CC...

I'd say since your school offers AP classes, you would have the advantage over your friends, :D..
