If anyone knows, give me both chances for the school of Engineering and school of liberal arts and sciences.

I go to a College prep School with a dual curriculum (Jewish-Secular), so I take A LOt of class... (2 Languages)
Anyway:
PSAT: 221 (illinois-Ill probably become a NM Finalist)
ACT 31
Sat-taking soon
GPA- (Unweighted) 3.61
Many extra-currics, student gov, etc...
Thanks

I'd say your GPA's a bit low. And we can't really tell with "many extra-curriculars" but I guess they'd be okay. It seems to me your GPA's the thing that could get you.

LoL, You'd think so wouldn't you? But allow me to say that I was admitted with a 3.63 unweighted at 23.5th percentile in the class. Of course, our school is ridiculous in that they don't give weighted grades (kids in front of me are TAs, and take classes in yoga and tv production, no wonder they have higher GPAs) and I was hardest courseload. I had a ridiculous upward grade curve too though (3.48 in freshman year and 3.95 in senior year with a steady increase the entire time), so I'm sure that helped. I also had heavy involvement in 3 big things outside of school. Anyways, keep your chin up. Don't let GPA get to you, it won't help you, but it won't kill you. If you have other things going on, including strong SATs and etc, you can pull it off.

My GPA should be a 3.7 by the end of the year
My GPA has increased steadily as well as my academic courseload every semester, and I really do have strong ECs. If i can get a 1450 (I think I did) and seem very interested and write a good essay, I think Ill have a very good shot.

(btw, colleges recognize that my school is very difficult gpa-wise. Someone got into Northwestern with a 3.33 and a 32, someone got in to Michigan with a 3.48 and a 28, someone got into Wash U with a 31 and 3.4, and someone got into UPENN with a 3.4 and a 28)
At my school a 3.7 is really good.

I got in with a 3.28 unweighted gpa
