Chances?

Hi everyone!
Do I have any chances at getting accepted to Dickinson? I’m planning on studying health sciences.

GPA unweighted: 3.35
GPA weighted: 3.57
ACT: 31 superscored, 30 without superscoring
EC’s: GSA, Diversity Club, and a ton of outside of school volunteer work, especially with kids with special needs
Taking one special education class at Long Island University
2 AP’s junior year and plan to take 2 AP’s senior year (Psych, English Lang. & Comp, Environmental and Calc AB)
Accelerated in math and science (my school doesn’t have honors classes)
My school does not rank, but it’s very well known to be competitive and one of the best in the country

the GPA’s are only based on freshman and sophomore year, junior year hasn’t been accounted for but I am getting straight A’s

Thank you!

You have a good shot at getting in I think. My weighted gpa was a 3.92, unweighted around a 3.5, ACT 30, hundreds of hours of volunteer work, and a job. However, I took 8 AP classes in high school, so that seems to be the biggest uncertainty in your application. Make sure in your application, including in your essay and interview, that you show that you’re passionate about something and that you have worked to pursue it. From my interview I really got the sense that they’re looking for students who will be active and engaged on campus. Good luck!

@ilanag3 thank you! very helpful!
