I am a rising junior and I just wanted to get a head start on colleges and I was just wondering what colleges I should be looking at. I go to a good school and take all honors classes and I’ve taken the only AP class that was offered which was APUSH as a sophomore. I will probably major in applied math or something math related. I live in Maryland and I would like to stay closer to the east coast, and do not want to spend an outrageous amount of money on tuition. I want an affordable education. My school doesn’t do a class rank but I am feel as though I am in the top 10% out of a class of 320. I applied to the IB program at my school and I got in, but I feel as though the AP classes I am taking and the other classes I am taking suit more of my interests and I would be restricted too much if I had done IB. The prestige of the school does not matter but I want it to be a decent math program. I already know I am applying to UMD but I don’t know that many other schools.
