What is your intended major? What do your EC’s look like? Do you have any disciplinary record? Any idea about your letters of recommendation? How strong is your essay? Make sure you don’t just repeat your resume. Let your personality come through, show admission counselors who you are. These same questions should be asked for chance of admission to any college or university. Most schools will re calculate GPA and give extra credit for AP, IB or DE courses. They look at the school profile about AP classes and what the HS policy is. Institutions like to see an even or upward grade trend with rigorous course load. Most schools will note any C’s or D’s in Jr. year. Also of note will be 1st gen or URM or athlete. Every school lists their statistics of admissions, I found the following for USF for Fall, 2016: Fall 2016 average GPA was a 3.41. The middle 50% SAT test score was 1050-1230 (critical reading and math only). The middle 50% ACT composite test score was 23-28.
