I think my letters of recommendation were pretty good, one nearly made me cry.
I put a lot of work into my personal statements, and also sent a copy of an AP English essay I did well on.

I think you are definitely a match academically for F&M. Are you applying ED II or RD?

Have you scheduled an interview? My son was admitted ED I and he feels that the interview sealed his admission. He knows of 2 kids in neighboring school districts with better stats academically that did not make EDI and were rejected.

I see that you have applied to a few Ivies as well. What made you choose to apply to F&M?

A really good friend of mine told me about F&M, so I figured I'd check it out. The more I read about it online, the more interested I became. I was really interested in a lot of the English classes I read about, and the possibility of creating a special studies major (I have several major interests that have developed). Also, the teacher to student ratio, and fact that the college cares about community service. I don't want to be all about myself, and I want to give back.

I've been to Lancaster to visit relatives before, and it was so nice. I'm currently trying to convince my mom to let me travel down by train in February for a weekend.
I'm realizing that I need to definitely get an interview scheduled as well.

I'm doing RD. Did your son call to make an interview, or was he notified? Congrats to him, too!
