<p>For all students, out-of-state ones in particular, UConn focuses on the numbers. Like many public universities, they simply get too many applications to spend a lot of time on your essays and the rest.</p>

<p>Your SAT scores aren't bad, but it's good you're retaking in October. In particular, you are below their middle 50 for math, so I would focus on that.</p>

<p>If you get recruited for tennis (which is not that hard considering Uconn's tennis team is not that great) you are in for sure.</p>

<p>Get your SATs in the 1800+ range and you are golden.</p>
