Chances?

Senior/ Female / White
SAT I 1390 690 M 700V
SAT II 620 660 570 (ouch)

GPA UW 3.5
GPA W 3.8

Officer of 2 clubs, belong to 7.

Last semester I got an F in AP Calc (ouch number 2)

P.S. How much do financial aid packages matter? I’m not like the 24% of BC students whose parents mkae over 200K a year. Will they be less likely to admit me if I don’t pay the “sticker price”?

You have an excellent chance of being admitted, fierro.
Your financial situation will not affect the admissions committee's decision in any way.

i wouldnt worry.....i got in and my parents make less than a quarter of that....good luck!!

mm ok...F in calc, that might hurt, SAT and gpa good, have a shot

this is my opinion (sorry, it kind of differs from the others.. but i'm just trying to be honest):

i agree that you have a shot, but it's not a guaranteed shoo-in. your F may DEFINITELY affect their decision, especially because it's an AP class from your senior year. unless you explained on the application any particular reason you performed poorly, it will go against you.
as for standardized tests, they are about the same as every other applicant. i don't think they help or hurt. they're kind of neutral.
if your EC's are stellar, you have good rec's and an excellent essay, then they will definitely help.

i'm sure BC is "need-blind" or whatever they call it- a request for financial aid will not affect your admission decision in any way.

good luck!

well, i sent in my mid-year report a few days ago (about 2 weeks after i got grades). there is no deadline for mid-year reports. i was hoping that they would make a decision before they recieve the updated transcript. since they would just recieve it this week and they already processed me fee, and i worked with them for financial aid stuff. its very possible they might review my application and accept me without seeing the grades. at least i can hope. ;)

plus i had my counselor vouch for me, stating i was working full time and what not, not just slacking as a senior.

thanks for the feedback.
