What are my chances at Santa Clara?

Here are my stats:

I live in Michigan
GPA: 2.802
ACT: 25
SAT: 560 on CR, 560 on M, 610 on W

EC's

-4 years of lacrosse, we won the state championship this past season.
-3 years of IM basketball.
-3 years of drumline/band.
-Job at a restaurant.
-Volunteer work.
-Coaching a 5th-6th grade basketball team (volunteer work).

I’m sure that you already know that your test scores put you around the 25th percentile of SCU’s freshman class profile, which gives you long odds. On the other hand, that means 25% of the freshman class had test scores as low as yours or even lower, so you’re certainly still in the running.

Your 2.8 GPA is much more of a problem. (SCU’s average is 3.55) Do you have any specific mitigating factors to explain the poor showing – for example, an illness or family crisis? Was it just a bad freshman year with a steadily upward trend since then?

SCU uses a holistic approach to evaluating candidates, so the admissions officers will make note of your sports participation, community service, and your job. Really work on your essays and submit good references to counteract the test scores and GPA.

Good luck!

According to Collegeboard, the middle 50% ACT scores are 24-29, which would put me in there. I know my GPA is low, and I have bad ADHD, so I've been sending a letter with my apps explaining how it has effected me, how many different medications I've tried and how they've all failed, etc, and I've also explained how my anxiety disorder has effected my school work as well.
