*Female

*I go to a very good and, unfortunately, very competitive public school in an affluent part of the Tristate Area

GPA: 4.1/4.5 weighted (in 5 honors and 1 AP)

No SATs yet, but on the "practice" PSAT's I got a 212 (with a "perfect" score in English)

EC's:
*Co-EIC of newspaper next year (and I'll only be a junior)
*founding 2 clubs next year
*Forensics
*Yearbook

Awards: none so far!

I know the GPA is a little inadequate (hovers around the A-/B+ range), so assuming I managed to get all A's my junior year (with 5 AP's and 2 honors), what would my chances be? Suggestions on how to improve?

^info is far too inadequate, you're fine at the moment, your also a sophomore go and do something fun with your life, do well in classes, get a good sat score, get leadership positions in clubs and pursue something your passionate about to no end.

I'm a rising sophomore, and if I posted a chances thread on here, I hope this is the response I'd get:

Find a passion, one or two (yours looks like English--enter Scholastic this year!), and spend so much freaking time on it that you don't have time to come on here and stress.

Except, I'd never take that advice. I'd still come on here. But I think that's the best advice anyone can possibly give at this point. Gradewise, get them up so you can compete with your presumably Ivy-bound peers, and other than that, don't worry about stats.
