-Instate

-3.86 Mich Gpa
-3.91 Overall Gpa
-Good courseload (many honors class, 4 out of 6 AP's taken)
-33 ACT
-Above average EC's
-Can write pretty good essays

-Average or worse LOR's (Probably gonna be my weakest area)

Should I still be good even without really good letters of recommendation?

You have a great chance of getting in, your ACT and GPA are looking good. Since your LOR’s are going to be weak though apply as early as possible to maximize your chances.

How much do they even care about the letters of reccomendation? Unless you’re the type of kid who SHOULDN’T be going to a good college, your counsoler won’t have any idea who you are, and will basicly fill your name and 3 things you tell them on a template reccomendation letter. Your teacher probably has tons of others to write as well, and not enough time to write a good one for everybody.

Your chances are very good. Your letter of rec. won’t affect you much.

If you are in-state, you are pretty much in.

Just don’t screw up the essays. Also…I dunno, but recommendations are actually semi-important…

A helpful thing to do if your teachers don’t know you that well is to just put up a little resume and a “brag sheet” of what you’ve accomplished with grades/test scores/extracirriculars and stuff.
