You have a great shot! Go for it! I mean, I may be a little biased

thanks issy...baha.

Those test scores aren't horrible, you should have confidence. Just because lots of the people on CC have above 2100, it doesn't mean that a 2000 is bad at all. That's probably top 5 to 8 percent in the nation for the SAT. You're probably in the bottom 25% for Vassar's SAT, but then again, 25% of the school's students make up that pool...a nice chunk of kids.

Its awesome that you started that business.

Overall, I think you have a decent shot of getting into Vassar. Your GPA is right on par with the average for last year's admitted class (an A-) and your classes sound suitably challenging, considering that your school doesn't offer all that many APs. As long as you've taken the most challenging courses your environment permits, you're fine.

As you're probably aware, your test scores are the weakest part of your application. In my opinion, to have a decent shot at Vassar, it's usually good to have at least a 700 on your SAT IIs and at least a 680 on each of the three sections of the SAT I (with at least two scores over 700) with an ideal cumulative of at least 2100. That being said, I think you have a good shot at Vassar with slightly weaker SATs than what's usually desirable because of your particularly strong and unique ECs. You look to have not only been involved in a lot, but to have consistently done a great amount with your activities. In particular, as irugee brought up, the business you started sounds really cool and is definitely "a hook." Try to play up this, and your other involvements, as much as possible on your application.

Overall, I would say Vassar is a semi-reach for you. Your ECs are fantastic and your grades are solid, but your SAT scores are a bit lower than idea, which will hurt your chances a bit.
