National Honor Society, but I haven’t done much with it yet. Just joined this year

Can paint/draw/play piano pretty well? But haven’t done it competitively/won any awards so I didn’t list it on my app. Will probably just send in a supplement.

Essays: pretty good I guess, it’s all subjective. Bates supplements are pretty good and show a lot of interest.

Recs: pretty good? I couldn’t read mine

Hooks: I’m half Filipino (don’t know if this is considered URM)? First-gen, extremely low income. Extremely unique school circumstances where I go to a completely different school 2,000 miles away for a quarter each year.

I plan on showing a lot of interest by contacting admissions occasionally and letting them know that bates is my top choice. Hoping so hard that I can get in!
