Oh yeah, totally forgot

This is for Bowdoin, Haverford, Swarthmore, Washington and Lee, Williams, Amherst, Wesleyan, Wellesley, and Georgetown

Have you taken any AP’s?
Do you have an “edge”? Like any sports or interesting things about you

I have taked 5 APs, got 2 4s and 1 3. Failed the other 2.
I play competitive tennis at a national and state level, so I’m easily good enough to get in the tennis teams of some of these schools.
@boxofcats

OK so talk to the Tennis people (coachs etc) at your top schools. You need to get the coachs to want you, and tell the admission officers that. You’re coming from a small school so colleges might not take your grades as seriously, especially with only OK ap scores. Play up the tennis definitely. Athletes are typically “tagged” and their applications are looked at differently.

@boxofcats
Thanks

the name of this post!! Really good stats but don’t forget to apply to safety schools! Good luck!

Do you play one singles for tennis at your school?

SAT may be lacking only slightly, retake it? Everything else looks fantastic!

@inspirational13
That was my highest score of 3 attempts, so no. Thanks
@SALVAJE
I don’t play for a school as I go to virtual school

What are your SAT subject tests scores? Georgetown U strongly recommends its applicants to submit at least 3.

it’s a bit hard to tell without ECs and the like, but it seems like you have a shot. your standardized testing scores may be a little low, however, especially for georgetown amherst and williams

Georgetown requires 3 subject test scores. Wellesley is impossible for a brother.
Contact coaches NOW - recruiting is almost done and you’ll likely be expected to ED at one school so you’re basically out of time.

@MYOS1634
Why is Wellesley impossible for a brother?

It’s a women’s college.
How much have you read about each college and their specific culture (ie. W&L vs. Swarthmore/Wesleyan - you can’t really WANT to attend all three, right?)
Borrow a Fiske Guide from your town/school library.
All colleges are reaches for everyone, your odds are around 10-20%. THey go up if you get a coach’s approval. You ought to decide quickly which colleges reflect who you are and want, because there’s no way you could fit in at Wes and at W&L.
Also, have you discussed your budget with your parents, run the Net price calculator on EACH* college, presented the net cost result to your parents, and they agreed?
*each college calculates differently

All girls’ college lol.

Or should I have said “women’s college”.

What is a “Virtual School” ? Are you home schooled?
