This year I applied to St. Paul(10th grade), Deerfield (10th grade, reapplied), and Andover (10th grade, reapplied). I wanted to know what my chances are on getting in to these scores. I feel that my interviews went really well (we always went over) (I think it’s a good sign because by the end of my interview with Deerfield, we were just telling funny jokes and stories.)Here’s my profile
School Type: Private Day (does this make a difference)
GPA: 3.71
Biology: B
Algebra II: A
English: A
Language: A
History: B
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Black
Applying for financial aid as well
I’m very involved in my school and participate in many clubs and I play a sport every season (not sure if this makes a difference). I’m worried because my SSAT scores didn’t get into the 90th percent tile, and that’s just mainly because I have anxiety when it comes to taking test. Also, my math scores didn’t even get into the 90th percent tile, which surprised me because I’m really good at math and in my math teacher recommendation she put that I was one of her top students, and one of the best she’s seen. I’m also in Boy’s Scout, and I feel my essays were written really well.
P.S.
Does ethnicity and/or gender play a role in if they decide whether or not to accept you.
