Change in Major before deicion

I am a international undergraduate applicant for fall 2017. The thing is that by mistake I picked Computer Engineering instead of Computer Science. I didn’t see this mistake until my SOLAR id got activated, at first I wasn’t able to log in but it took like 12hrs or so to log me in and that’s when I found this out. Can it be changed? Although I have emailed the admission office at enroll@stonybrook.edu but I guess that I won’t have a reply till Monday and thats Tuesday in my country’s time. (Submitted application via commonapp on 5th Jan)

For CS at Stony Brook the majority of kids aren’t direct admits into the CS major and instead are admitted into the school. You then take 2 intro courses in CS. If you get above a certain GPA in those courses you are then admitted into the major. So I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You can always switch majors after you are admitted.
