Change of Plans

Well, this is just an update on my life, and I'm open to comments or discussion.

I will graduate in 2016 with a B.S. in chemical engineering and a B.A. in English. I have been planning on going to the USPTO before law school, but I thought that I would like to travel and experience something different before settling down in a career.

Now, I plan to go through the Navy NUPOC program (probably sub) and become a Nuclear Officer in about 8 years (post graduation). I know about the Navy JAG, but I also know how competitive it is. So my realest plans are just to enter law school on my own dime after my time in service.

My GPA has consistently been around a 3.3 with all of my EC's and leadership roles on campus, and I don't plan to change that because my recruiting officer says that is competitive for the NUPOC program.

Any comments or suggestions?

P.S. I played around with some LSAT practice exams over the summer and got a 162 without any studying, so I’m not too worried about getting a good score and getting into a decent (albeit not “T14”) law school after my experience in the Navy.
