I was accepted to MSU with a full-ride due to the Spartan Advantage Program (SPAD) and other grants/scholarships and my declared major is psychology but I would like to change my major and go into James Madison. If I do this would I lose any of my grants/scholarships?
Yes, I think the scholarship is only for MSU.
The Spartan Advantage program is a great opportunity, it provides assistance to needy MI students to be able to afford attending MSU.
Does the Spartan Advantage program require a specific major? I would think you could change your major since it’s need based.
Contact someone at MSU to find out about that
No, you are welcome to change your major to James Madison from Psychology at MSU and it will not impact your SPAD award. See https://finaid.msu.edu/spad.asp for details.
