Changing Majors

I want to attend U of I urbana champaign. However, I put my major as chemistry when I wanted biochem. But I didn’t put for some reason biochem as my major because I thought they didn’t have it. I found they did, and I’m worried that I won’t be guaranteed a spot in biochem this fall if I go to U of I. If anyone has changed majors prior to the start of undergrad at U of I, did you get the major that you wanted easily?
