<p>One more thing i could add, my da has his ged and dropped college in like a year, my mom has her associates, and my stepdad has his highshool diploma but is a small business owner. Does any of this change anything?</p>
<p>*Yeah money is the issue. Ill have around a 3.8 unweighted gpa and 2350 sat scores (hopefully) by senior year. And thanks for the replys!!

<p>If after you take an actual SAT test and you end up with a high score, then you’ll have choices. </p>
<p>Keep in mind that the schools that give the best need based aid will require CSS PROFILE and will require YOUR other parent’s info (mom and stepdad) as well. So, moving to dad’s won’t change that for those schools. Schools that give the best aid usually require the info from ALL parents and stepparents. </p>
<p>As for FAFSA-only schools (the ones that would only use your dad’s info), they usually give the worst aid. However, some give large merit scholarships, so apply to some of those.</p>
<p>No, whether or not they graduated from college will not make a difference for financial aid.</p>
<p>If you get the 2350 on the SAT, then stop. But if you don’t, think about taking the June ACT too. Some students do better on the ACT and schools will take either for merit aid.</p>
