@90smix thank you so much! Good luck as well! We should def meet up if we both get in and commit!
I applied by the deadline, but it’s been almost 2 weeks and all of my things are there except my HS transcript. I’m so nervous about it being so late. I’ve been in constant contact with my HS and they claimed to send it but it’s still not there. I’ve been in touch with my counselor at Chapman and she said it’s fine as long as it gets there soon, but do you guys think it will ruin my chances since it’s so late? I have no control over it, but I still think it looks bad on my part. I’m super nervous…
@amberly99 how did you request for them to be sent? Was it through parchment.com (or whatever it’s callef)?? Is there any way for you to walk them in? (If you live in SoCal)? I was going to send my CC transcripts via common app but they said those mail out to MA first then back to CA so since I live nearby I just got an official copy and walked them in. If you’re able to do that I think you can get a hard copy via parchment then walk it in, or if you didn’t use parchment then use that and it usually shows a tracker as to whether they were received or not (that’s what I had to do for my CC to waive a math requirement)
Hopefully that helps
@acceptmeplz376 my college transcripts are there, but it’s my high school transcripts that haven’t arrived yet. They send them through the mail. My HS sent them over 10 days ago but they still aren’t there I don’t have a way of taking them myself since I don’t have the transcripts. And I have 37 completed and will have 53 by end of spring.
@amberly99 Request your HS via parchment, most High Schools go through that (that’s how I got mine) and request electronic delivery https://www.parchment.com/order/my-credentials/
Sometimes things get lost in the mail, you’ll have to pay like $8 or something but it’s worth it because you can track it at all times
And that’s great!!! Does your major have any pre-reqs?
Just breathe, you’ll be fine
Applied to Business school (Accounting) & 3/1 Admissions requested interim grades from my CC. Hoping that’s a good sign. (All docs received last week by Chapman). GPA is 3.41 - working to get that up this semester before I complete my ADT from PCC. Anyone else get this request for interim grades?
@ilovechicken1236 what was your major again? They tend to mostly ask for midterm grades if you have pre-rreqs that are in progress, you have a major with pre-reqs (STEM or Business), or your grades are borderline. You shouldn’t be too worried! I haven’t received one either. Last year people started hearing March 6 and then again March 13, obviously it can vary from year to year (in 2017 it was March 8 and then 17), so fingers crossed we hear back this week but there isn’t anything set in stone.
@YouGotThis1 I think a few people did but you have a good gpa + it’s normal for your major to ask for interim grades (mostly because you have pre-reqs), are any of your pre-reqs in progress? That is possibly why, or it’s just because business + STEM majors usually get requests
@ilovechicken1236 it’s honestly probably because you’re under 60 units and coming from a 4 year not a CC. I doubt it’s a bad thing though! Have you heard back from any other schools yet?
@90smix yes!! My mom went there so we’ve visited a good amount and then I volunteered at a camp there over the summer and I live 10 mins down the street so I’m often in the orange circle or stumbling upon Chapman on weekdays or weekends and then I did discover Chapman day and met with the transfer counselor twice! I’m SO nervous ahhh. I really hope we start to hear back this week…
have you visited it??
It’s seriously the perfect school for me I really hope it works out!
@acceptmeplz376 omg girl you are like guaranteed acceptance xD YOU GOT THIS! You have great dedicated interest that’s awesome!! I’ve visited once and really really like it, we’ll see if I get in
Ugh, my HS transcripts are STILL not there so I went to my HS and got my own official copies and overnighted it today myself. Should be there tomorrow. I doubt I’ll hear anything this week from Chapman tho regarding acceptance/rejection since my application is basically incomplete until tomorrow…
