Lol I guess I'm the odd one out then, seeing as how I haven't committed to a decision yet.

Aww I want to go to this event, but when I tried to register, it said the event was full. Oh well, guess I'll visit the campus on the campus day.

Anyone else sure they are going to Davis but still hasn't pulled the trigger on signing the SIR?

My son is still deciding. He is visting a school on the east coast this weekend. I just left him at the airport. :)

i signed the SIR already xD

I want to sign it but I'm scared. I have to work out financial stuff first. I'm scared paying for it will be impossible. I know that's not true, but my parents have freaked the crap out of me about loans and expenses.

My parents are piling the financial pressure on me too. I know it sounds lame, but I cried once because they really freaked me out. Now though, I just take it as a greater incentive for me to be successful so that I'll be able to pay off student loans and their retirement home lol.

Haha yeah I told my mom, (jokingly) "When you're old, do you want to go to a nice home (UC Davis) or a crappy one? (Community College). You wont wnt to go to "senior daycare," you're going to live on-campus too! I'm going to pay for it!" She laughed. But, yeah, in the end I guess this Davis thing is my choice either way.

And. I cried no less than 10 times over this. =)

Aww, yeah lol. Besides, going off to college is like making a statement about yourself and how you're going to live your life. Definitely your choice. :]

UCSB or UCD for psych RAWR. I like what I hear about the UCD community more, but since I got rejected by UCI I have to stay somewhat closer to family. But I really don't want to go to UCSB...

i'm going tomorrow. i've already visited davis twice so i guess tomorrow's event will just make me sure that i want to go to davis. uh so anybody going to the regents luncheon?

@Xenocide: Haha I feel the same way about UCSB. I feel kinda guilty though, because I haven't really given it much attention and my acceptance letter is just sitting on the table. x: UCD just seems so much better. Sorry about UCI, they're lame anyway.

I would of gone to UCSB. I got rejected from thei CCS program which kind of blew up my plans.

Davis was my second choice; overall Davis is much better anyways.

CCS is awesome =/

Davis > SB for sure lol, not that I have a biased opinion. My parents want me to go to UCI 'cause it's closer to home too, but the more I spend time here in the UCD subforum, the more I don't wanna go to UCI lol.

Don't go then! :P If it's too close to home, it isn't the same college experience in my opinion. As for SB, the only advantage it has over Davis is that it is right by the beach, which is beautiful there :D

there are beaches about an hour and a half from davis.

SF beaches are cold though.

SB's College of Creative Studies is AMAZING if you have your heart in the subject matter.

I got accepted by SB in my alt. major - not CCS.

But now instead of pursuing the life of a starving artist, I'm gonna become a Vet!

Well that and people at Davis seem friendlier. :] I can probably convince my parents to let me go to Davis instead of Irvine, but we'll see. They're the ones paying for my future education so...their opinion kinda matters a lot.

Maybe we can identify each other by what we wear? haha

hahhahaha So is there like a system of identifying each other? Or we can just agree to wear one color? loll

well we can state what we are going to wear and maybe identify each other haha
