Given the info you've mentioned, she's got a shot at all the schools she's applying to.

yup, she's from california. Btw, she did apply EA to Harvard and I think that she should have received her results by now, waiting for her email!

The combination of good looks and intelligence goes far in this world. I know it is not a topic we discuss much on this board, but it is not merely coincidence that CEOs of companies and heads of state usually stand over 6' tall. When I worked at Lehman Brothers and later at Goldman Sachs, I was always amazed at how good looking the average employee was. Top universities know that. It will be assumed that a girl who is a cheerleader and a model will be presentable and elegant. Add to these her high scores on the SAT and her good grades and I'd say that will be appealing to most adcoms.

No matter how much employers try to deny it, people with good looks have an ultimate advantage. We just can't help it, attractive people are just...attractive. People with good looks rarely end up lonely/homeless/jobless. No matter how messed up they are, they still get a decent job and people generally take more pity on people who look good. That's the truth no matter how people try to deny it!

Man... I think not

I think that it can work both ways
1. As mentioned above
2. Being passive and not playing the sport but hanging around the periphery and being superlative to the REAL game involved
