I know this question has been asked a few times before, but is it really all that bad to take the two (14B/BL) together? I've heard so many horror stories and warnings not to take these two classes together, but I just wanted to see if anyone had some further insight or any recommendations in general on how to handle Pang's class? Also, one BruinWalk review said that the "concepts" of BL were mostly Chem14A concepts - has anyone else found this to be true?

thanks a lot. i'm sure people will eventually drop, but knowing when is the problem. when should i contact him? if i manage to get in during, lets say, the second week, will i miss a lot of material?

im about to shoot myself for not enrolling in the lab when i had the chance.

Well...people will probably start dropping on the second pass...but I'd say start checking regularly during the first week of class...also, if you can, you should attend class too so that you don't have to play catch-up if you do get in

are you on the waitlist? if you are, then go the lab section you are on the waitlist for. I think the first two labs do not require lab coat/goggles. You basically just participate as ifyou were enrolled until the drop deadline (14BL is impacted so this is like ~2 weeks into the quarter). If no one has dropped by then, you are kinda out of luck, unless there are other lab sections that have openings.

if you are not on the waitlist, contact pang asap and ask about what you should do. contrary to bruinwalk, pang is pretty nice (just really hard), so he wont completely ignore you.
