Chem P?

Does chem P prepare you really well for chem 1a or is it better to just go for chem 1a?

I also cannot remember anything at all from honors chem in 9th grade, so would taking chem 1a be a big mistake, or is it still possible to work through it using all available resources in addition to studying?

I had the same problem, because my 10th grade honors chem teacher was horrible, and I don’t remember anything either. At CalSO I signed up for 1A, but I was still uncomfortable with it. However, I hear even people with no prior chem experience can do fine. According to multiple sources the curve for 1A makes it so 80% of the class gets an A or B. You’ll be fine throughout the year.

Here is a 20 hour self-study course to prep before Chem 1A starts - costs $20 and you do it on your own schedule between now and when class starts.
