<p>What are the most competitive jobs for chemical engineering graduates. For instance, Goldman sachs and other investment banks are the competitve jobs for finance majors or blue orgin and boeing are the jobs to get for aerospace/ mechanical majors. </p>
<p>For chemical engineer, what jobs are the most wanted. I was thinking it would be corporations like Dow, Dupont, or BASF but im really not sure.</p>

<p>Boeing’s practically one step away from being an excel farm, they’ll hire anyone with a 3.0+ GPA and a good interview lmao, then a couple years later they’ll lay 'em off for the lulz</p>
<p>I don’t really think there is a list of most-wanted jobs. In your typical finance classes, the whole class is homogeneous in that everyone wants to get into GS. In chemical engineering, not so much. Oil & gas, chemicals, pharma, biotech, consumer goods, research, law, etc. are just a few examples of what people are considering. Within each sector, however, there are a few companies that people want to work for (ie. the biggest ones).</p>
<p>The highest paying ChemE jobs are those that involve the upstream oil industry (either facilities or downhole).</p>

<p>My BIL was a Chem E major, and he works for a semiconductor ship company. He does well financially, but I don’t think he particularly enjoys his job. He manages quite a few people.</p>

<p>I know lots of ChemE’s going for pharmacy, far fewer going for law school. Not sure exactly what that means, but that’s what I’ve observed.</p>
