<p>Hello. I would really appreciate any input on this matter. Today I was accepted as a transfer student to Jacobs School of Engineering (yay) but not for my first choice major (bioengineering). After seeing that mechanical engineering is impacted too, I decided to choose between "chemical engineering" and "computer science with specialization in bioinformatics". My goal was to go into bioengineering and focus on tissue engineering. Alas, this will not happen exactly as planned (grad school will help). Here are my questions:</p>
<ol>
<li><p>What have you heard about these two majors? Do you know anyone who is majoring in either?</p></li>
<li><p>Which one will yield better job prospects? I am leaning towards the computer science major.</p></li>
<li><p>Which one will bring me closer to bioengineering/biomedical engineering?? Admissions said chemical engineering is my closest match since I have ochem finished. Ugh decisions decisions. </p></li>
